I'm going from the west edge of the state (on the Arkansas River) to Helena, on the east edge of the state (on the Mississippi River) tomorrow. Hope I'm not washed down to New Orleans. :)Should be able to post tomorrow night, but if not, I'll be back Thursday night..humid hot air

unable to hide
We lost power Sunday night and got it back tonight. Trees all over the town were torn down, some on houses. It's going to take a long time to have this cleaned. I'm exhausted....unable to hide, the signs of age on my face-bright full moon.(pictures can be seen on Present Tense)Labels: haibun

I sat out last night and listened to a party at the house behind us. There was a live band playing and it was wonderful! I stayed out until 1 a.m.
I videoed a bit of it in the dark so you could hear it. Having problems getting it put here, but I'll try again tomorrow. :)

fireflies
70 mph wind, heavy rain and lightning. All of them leave the neighborhood powerless. Trees have snapped and some lay across the roads. Now at midnight, the cloudy sky is pitch black. No sign of human life.....fireflies flicker around me-dark moodLabels: haibun
